Remember the LBD? With it's versatility, chicness and the fact that it never goes out of style, the little black dress has become a true testimony to the appreciation of womanhood. However, in modern times the LBD is no longer what is used to be. The 'lil' has transcended to long. Although we can’t really replace the acronym LBD (if you have any other ideas
you’re welcome to post a comment) the long figure hugging dresses seem to be
making it’s big appearance. Yes people, let’s replace the short and cute
persona with long and edgy. As for the colour, well that might be for another
post, but black never goes out of style. Here are two of my most favourite LOBD
dresses I own:
You would not believe where I got this
sheer dress from. The one and only CHINA TOWN! Before I continue let me just
state that I am a true believer of buying value for money, there’s nothing
better than buying a dress for R80. I would have to compliment my mother for
this grand discovery since she is the one who first spotted it and I... am in
fact the one who blatantly sneered at it. Only recently did I realise it’s true
potential. Thank you mother. I’m not the
only one going for the sheer look; this person on Chictopia.com is too:

I call this dress ‘The Infinity Dress’.
Reason being there are literally a million ways you can wear this dress. From boob tubes, to stylish one-shoulders,
this dress can promise you a different outfit for every occasion. It comes as a
long plain boob tube dress with incredibly long straps that are meant for
draping the dress into the style you want. I got this for R350 at the Craft
Tent in Tygervalley mall, just below Game. Other stores also sell this
wonderful fashion invention such as Daisy Island at Canal Walk. As much as it
pains me to admit it, this dress has been around for quite some time. Even
though it might not be that popular at the moment I bet this dress will be worn
by trendsetters who know an investment when they see one.
